Book Tag
I stole this from Heima:t3h madn3ss of a mod3rn witch who stole it from A Penguin's Life or 12 Orange Hamunaptras:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag 5 people. I don't have 5 people with blogs to tag. So I tag Slap Maxwell, Bartman and the next 3 people to read my blog and you can post in the comments. :D
My results:
1. Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stroller (Yes that was the nearest book as I spent most of last night attempting to make my first gauge swatch.)
2. Yup
3. Got it
4: And here's what I ended up with:
This hat is great for beginners because it is done with repeated single crochet stitches going around and around, so all you have to do is count. The anarchy sign isn't complicated, either, because it's done in pieces.
Hat.
Starting at the centre top, with a larger hook and A, leaving a 10" sewing length, ch 30 and without twisting ch, join with sl st in first ch.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 2, hdc in the first ch, hdc in each ch around, sl st in first hdc to join --- 30 hcd.
What kind for dork am I to have a crochet book as my nearest book? 0.o
